Get fit and raise money local charities with the Kelly’s 10K Run


Local company Kelly’s Storage are holding a series of sporting events to raise money for charity this year starting with a 10K run in Guildford in March.

Whether you run regularly or fancy the challenge, Kelly’s 10K Riverside Run is for you. The course is a flat one-lap route along the river through National Trust land is being held on Saturday March 19. All the money raised will go to three local charities, with Kelly’s handling all the organisation and costs.

Oakleaf Enterprise is a mental health charity working as a social enterprise to provide vocational training for those suffering from mental health issues.  Information about the training and support that Oakleaf Enterprise provide can be found at http://www.oakleaf-enterprise.org

Riding for the Disabled Cranleigh enables people with disabilities to ride or carriage drive to benefit their health and well being and to achieve their goals. Information about the services they provide can be find at http://www.cranleighrdagroup.co.uk/

The Jigsaw Trust, which runs an independent school for ages four to 19, provides educational, vocational and wellbeing services for children and adults wth autism, learning disabilities and associated communication and behavioural difficulties as well as. The event includes free photos and chip timing, on-site parking, secure bag storage, on-site refreshments, mass warm-up to music and best of all, some glorious countryside to run through.

Entry is by donation with a suggested minimum donation £25 and participants can also choose to raise money through sponsorship.

The event is only suitable for ages 15 and over.

In the four years that Kelly’s have been holding their fundraising events, they have raised over £250,000 with all the money raised going direct to the charities.

As well as the 10K run in March, Kelly’s will be holding a Cycle Challenge in May and a Summer Cycle in July.
