Guildford Lido has announced the return of its open air cinema.
This year, Lido is presenting the movie classics of “Mamma Mia” on Saturday August 22 and “Jaws”, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, on Sunday August 23.
Perfect for a night out with your partner, or a group of friends; enjoy either one of these popular films while surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and a chilled glass of wine in hand. The film screening and the bar opening will be at 8.30pm, however, there are other activities on offer prior to this.
Snuggle up on the grass with a picnic blanket to create a cosy atmosphere, or if you so choose, there will also be deckchairs available.
There will be a swimming session taking place between 7pm and 8pm, which will work up your appetite perfectly in preparation for dinner. This will be provided by Burrito Loco, thus giving you the chance to channel your inner Mexican.
There is also the opportunity to dress up as your favourite character, so get in touch with your creative side and have some fun.
The contradictory nature of the films means that you have the freedom to choose between horror, or Rom-com. However, if you can’t decide, there’s nothing stopping you from venturing along to both.
The standard ticket price is £10.00 however, if you wish to have a deck chair, the price increases to £12.00. Please note that there is limited availability on the latter tickets.
This is a great opportunity to stray from the straight and narrow, rather than simply going out for dinner every Saturday night, treat your partner to something a little more creative.
