Yvonne Arnaud Theatre hosts chorus auditions for 2014/15 season pantomime

Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre is once again giving local girls the opportunity to appear in this year’s traditional family pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Each year, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre produces a winter pantomime performance that spans a month over the Christmas period and incorporates local talent. Last time round, the Guildford audience was treated to a rendition of Cinderella featuring local favourite Bonnie Langford, as well as many other sparkling performances.

So if you dream of singing and dancing on stage in a professional production, then here is your chance. Open auditions for those wanting to be part of the pantomime juvenile chorus will take place in the main auditorium on Sunday, June 15. Would you like to be seen on the Main Stage this winter? Oh yes you would!

Director Gerry Tebbutt and Choreographer Jill Francis are back and they will be picking 24 enthusiastic girls (under the age of 16 years old and no taller than 4’6”) to perform on stage as part of the juvenile chorus. As usual, they will be looking for girls who have a combination of good dance and singing ability.

Gerry Tebbutt has said, “Come along and have some fun and prove that Guildford’s Got Talent!”

If you would like the chance to be in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this year, all you need to do is turn up on Sunday, June 15, registration starts at 1.30pm in the foyer of the theatre (please note that there will be a £2 Registration Fee for each applicant). All girls wishing to audition should come along ready to dance; but should bring only water, not food.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs opens on Friday 5 December 2014 and runs until Sunday 4 January 2015 and tickets are already on sale. You can book yours by calling the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Box Office on 01483 440000 or by visiting the website HERE.
