32-year-old Matthew Boyd, of Waverley Road in London (SE18) was charged with murder, assault (GBH) and assault (ABH). He has been remanded in custody to appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court (Redhill) today.
Richard Stroud, 46, from Guildford, was pronounced dead at St Georges Hospital in Tooting at around 4.55am after being assaulted outside the Guildford City Social Club at around 10pm on Saturday, 3 January.
