This Green Flag award winning park is the largest and most famous park in Guildford popular with local residents and visitors alike. It’s barely changed since the 18th century and offers something for everyone: woodland areas, sports pitches, a model boating pond, a children’s play area and even a paddling pool in the summer.

Loseley Park

Loseley Park was built in Elizabethan times and is located in ancient Surrey parkland, offering spectacular views of the North Downs. It’s still the home of the More-Molyneux family and the house is relatively unchanged since 1562. There’s also an award-winning rose garden, flower, herb and vegetable gardens and a lovely moat walk. You can also go for a stroll down to the lake across the Front Park. There’s also a restaurant, refreshment areas and a gift shop. It offers the perfect backdrop for a picnic.

Pewley Down

Pewley Hill is just outside Guildford and it links to the sweeping landscapes of Pewley Down. It was a defensive fort in the 19th century but nowadays it’s good place for a picnic and long, lazy strolls!

Hatchlands Park

Set in the beautiful 430 acre Repton Park, Hatchlands provides an abundance of woodland and parkland walks as well as a small adventure are for children. Hatchlands house was built naval officer Admiral Boscawen in 1756 and displays the world’s largest collection of composer related keyboards. You can see lunchtime recitals using these instruments every Wednesday from March to June and October to November.
