Comedy

TV Panel Show regular comic Milton Jones brings his show “Temple of Daft” to the G Live for an extra night of comedy. Tickets cost £25 from www.glive.co.uk

Music

For children in the afternoon is Whimsical Woodwind, a group of fun and friendly professionals providing a whimsical tour of the woodwind family. Bar des Arts

Famelab winner Mark Lewney will be explaining the physics of rock using riffs from Vivaldi to AC/DC, explaining the secret of Stradivarius violins and how string vibrations might lie at the heart of the Big Questions about the Universe. Suitable for anyone studying GCSE physics and above. Entry is free but tickets must be reserved via the website

The Beat, one of the biggest bands of the 2-Tone movement, present a wall of sound that transcends time and ska fusion rhythms to ignite a crowd. They play with the sole aim of connecting with and entertaining their appreciative audience with their relentless energy and world class musicianship. Tickets £15 in advance.

Sport

Surrey Storm netball team return to Surrey Sports Park to take on league leaders Manchester Thunder. Their morale will have been boosted by their win last week against the Hertfordshire Mavericks at the sold-out LondonLive event at the Copper Box Arena at the Olympic Park.

On the ice the Guildford Flames take on Manchester at the Guildford Spectrum at 6pm.  Tickets are £10.50 adults and £5.50 children from www.guildfordflames.com

Bottom of the league Guildford City FC take on Hanworth Villa who are above them on goal difference, so go and cheer them on at the Spectrum  Football Ground.

Theatre

In the Mill Studio at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre is the No Frills Flamenco Dance Show. Stripping down Flamenco to its bare essence, the show goes in search of pure expression and a celebration of the raw yet nuanced energy that awakens in both the dancer and spectator.
